An RSS news feed is an optional way of viewing news content on Web sites. RSS, short for "Really Simple Syndication," uses a "news reader" program or your Web browser to display news articles.

What is a news reader?
A news reader is a piece of software that you can use to read articles from news sites and blogs. The reader saves you time by scanning your "watched" Web sites in the background and notifying you when a new article has been published. You can quickly scan headlines and get a brief synopsis of the articles' content.
Where can I get a news reader?
The newest versions of the Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari Web browsers already support RSS feeds. There also are several free RSS readers you can use, including:
